Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reiterated his desire to create a style of play. That threatens opponents, kills them or even intimidates them before they take to the pitch. So Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Real Betis was a testament to that.

The Red Devils warmed up for the 4th match of the 2024 pre – season in California , USA , despite being 0-1 behind in the first 15 minutes.  UFABET

But Marcus Rashford , Amad Diallo and Carlos Casemiro scored penalties to make it 3-1 at half-time. Before trailing 3-2 in the 61st minute, which was still a good result.

Overall, the Dutch coach was satisfied with both the results and the style of play. Which dared to keep the ball and threaten the opponent.

ten Hag said on the official website:

” I think the work is okay. The kids did a good job ,”

“At the beginning of the game, we might have had some problems controlling the situation, and we were down 0-1. Which shouldn’t have happened. I think it was the first time that our opponent had even entered our penalty area.”

“But then he controlled the game and recovered his form, scoring three good goals. The first was from the penalty spot. Which started with a good tackle from Ahmad.”

“The second goal was brilliant, the third goal from a corner kick was great.”

“The second goal was a cross from Harry Amas, and Amad smashed home a brilliant finish.”

“The goal we want to achieve is to be a team that plays aggressively and threateningly.”

“It doesn’t matter if sometimes you push the line up high to the top of the field or come down deep to defend.”

“We have to be aggressive, and to follow through on this order, we have to start with a pressing zone at any point in the game, in a way that everyone knows how to do.”

“Then when we change possession, we have to play tough, and we have to do it as a team.”

The Red Devils have two more games before the official start of the 2024-25 season, against Liverpool (3 Aug ) and the Community Shield against Man City (10 Aug ) , then a six – day break to face Fulham ( 16 Aug ) .
