Liverpool have reportedly confirmed a new date for players to return to the AXA Training Centre for pre-season following the tragic death of Diogo Jota.

The first- team squad were due to begin preparations for the 2025-26 season on Friday, with more players set to return on Monday.
However, plans have been pushed back as the club grieves over the deaths of Jota and his brother, who died in a car crash in the early hours of Thursday,
according to the Liverpool Echo. Arne Slot has rescheduled the start of pre-season to Tuesday, July 8, to give players and staff additional time to process their grief.
The majority of Liverpool’s first-team squad attended the funeral on Saturday in the small Portuguese town of Gondomor, alongside a delegation of senior club officials and former team-mates who had visited the player’s wake on Friday evening.
