Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has clarified his stigmatisation of being an ungrateful man after an interview. In which he criticised former manager Jurgen Klopp. Insisting he has full respect for the German boss. While his words have been distorted by the media.

Jones had said before the 1-0 win over Real Betis during the United States pre – season tour. That he was “very happy” working with new head coach Arne Slot because the style of play-based midfielders suited him.  UFABET

However, the English media has interpreted that the 23 -year-old midfielder was sarcastic towards JK regarding his energetic playing style and his inability to bring out his best potential .

This time, the homegrown player borrowed the microphone after the 2-1 victory over Arsenal to clarify his words, saying that he had no intention of insulting or chasing JK .

He said after the game at Lincoln Financial Field:

” The team philosophy remains the same. We want to work hard , press and dominate the game.”

“ That is something I think is misinterpreted. ”

“ What I want to convey is that I am happy with the present , with the work I am doing , but the presentation makes it seem like I am being branded as disrespectful .”

“ Of course, Jurgen knows my personality. I’m not that kind of kid. He knows how much I love him, and all the old staff .”

“Just tell me how I’m being played now. It’s changed a bit.”

“Klopp is the one who set me up, he believes in me. He knows that this kid can develop, he’s not just a homegrown kid training with the first team, he can be a real player – so I don’t want to create any issues about him or muddy the waters.”

“How many games would I have had the chance to play in the first team if it weren’t for you?”

“There were times when I was told I needed to go on loan or leave the club to find another opportunity – and you were the one holding me back the whole time.”

“I did not intend to cause any offence and Jurgen knows how much I love you and all of your staff.”

Jones has made 133 appearances in all competitions for the Reds since making his debut in 2019. But has not played more than 24 games in the Premier League in any other season.
