Thyroid disease: The thyroid gland is a butterfly-shaped organ located at the front of the neck. Its function is to produce thyroid hormones, which are important for the body’s energy metabolism. It is also involv in growth. It also controls heart rate, body temperature, and affects the function of other hormones.

Therefore, when the thyroid gland malfunctions, it affects the level of thyroid hormones in the body. It can lead to hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), or other thyroid disorders. Patients with these disorders will have different symptoms.

Insomnia and lack of appetite indicate thyroid disease: Symptoms of thyroid disease vary depending on the type of disease you have. For example, if you have an underactive thyroid gland, you will experience constipation, feel cold, get tired easily, feel exhaust, UFABET and gain weight.   • Nontoxic thyroid nodule: Thyroid glands are enlarg, but hormone production is still normal. Symptoms: difficulty breathing, tightness in the throat, coughing, hoarseness, and difficulty swallowing.
  • Hypothyroidism Symptoms: lethargy, laziness, slow thinking, drowsiness, coldness, hair loss, dry and rough skin, swelling, obesity, weight gain.
  • Thyroiditis Symptoms: The neck is swoll but when press, it does not hurt. Caused by a viral infection or a defective immune system.
  • Thyroid Cancer: There may be no symptoms but it may be notice by a lump in the neck.

People who have the following symptoms should have their thyroid hormone levels tested.

  • The neck is enlarg and a lump is felt in the front of the neck.
  • Have symptoms of hypothyroidism such as easily getting tired, easily exhaust, feeling cold, constipat, and easily gaining weight.
  • Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include hand tremors, palpitations, weight loss while eating normally or more than usual, anxiety, irritability, bulging eyes, enlarged neck, increased bowel movements, more frequent bowel movements, and excessive sweating.

The thyroid gland is important for the body’s energy metabolism system and also affects the functioning of many organs in the body.
