Sinusitis is a common disease and takes much longer to heal than the common cold. Patients with acute sinusitis may come and go several times a year. While patients with chronic sinusitis, although often have less severe symptoms, patients will have to endure such symptoms for months without any relief. Treatment of sinusitis therefore requires a specialist doctor to diagnose the correct cause and eventually lead to a complete cure.
